What is HSAM?

The Hawaii Society of Addiction Medicine is the state chapter of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. HSAM is a non-profit organization of providers and other individuals committed to advocating for those with substance use disorders and supporting the expansion of addiction medicine.

What is HSAM’s mission?

HSAM is dedicated to increasing access and improving the quality of addiction treatment; educating physicians, other medical professionals and the public; advocating for patients; supporting research and prevention; fighting stigma; and increasing awareness of the nature of substance use disorders and their treatments.
